Welcome! Dr. Theodore James is a primary care physician practicing in Blue Island. He has practiced family and occupational medicine in the area since 1965, when he first joined Blue Island Medical Center after graduating from the University of Illinois Medical School in Chicago. After serving his country as a U.S. Army doctor in Vietnam, he returned to Blue Island to practice family medicine.
He later became principal physician and owner of the Blue Island Medical Center.
Dr. James is known for personal care in the community. He was featured in the Southtown Star in 2004 for his long-standing involvement with nursing homes and service for low-income patients. In recognition of his community service, in 2010 he was nominated for the American Red Cross Heroes Award.
Until recently, he was affiliated with the Access Community Health Network. He now practices independently from offices at 2310 York Street in Blue Island. He is affiliated with the MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island.
He looks forward to treating each patient with personal attention and individualized care.
